Welcome to the turtleneck.net Oubliette.

If you don't even know what an oubliette is, ask Hoggle: "It's a place you put people to forget about them."

O.K., we don't have any cute girls trapped in our oubliette, nor do we want the stuff in here to be forgotten, but the word was just too lovely to ignore. What you will find in the oubliette is all our back issues, still chock full of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, essays, literary criticism, and random nonsense.

Choose your weapon:

  • Fall 2001, buckle up for our hella cool All-Verse marathon. Also includes an interview of Gurley, a review of his e-book, and a review of Vollman's Royal Family.
  • Summer 2001, our domination of the literary mindspace continues with Palahniuk carryovers from late Spring, and the return of Jason Gurley and Andy Schuck. More inside...
  • Spring 2001, best issue ever. Chuck Palahniuk all over the place. 'Nuff said.© Oh yeah, I guess this issue marks our one year anniversary. Booze on the house.
  • Winter 2000, Well, the world might not have ended, but turtleneck.net got a sleek new layout. Details inside.
  • Fall 2000, last issue of the beloved creamy text on a maroon background. Also marks the last appearance (for now) of those wicked orange buttons.
  • Summer 2000, a lame attempt to push out a second issue w/o enough content. Only for pathetic fiends who cannot get enough creamy text on a maroon background.
  • Spring 2000, our first issue. It holds a special place in the hearts of litgeeks and lovers of books, fiction, and poetry everywhere.
